Mission: To lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ  

To support our overall mission, we try to connect with people in our community and lead them into taking the next step in their relationship with Jesus Christ.  For some, this will mean simply removing any barriers on Sunday morning so they can hear the Gospel and meet Jesus for the first time.  For others, it may mean connecting relationally so they can be encouraged to trust God again after a bad experience in life.  Still others may simply be looking for the place God is leading them to plug into a local body of believers and begin to serve Him.  

So how do we actually connect with people at oneChurch?

Connect Cards: 

We ask all 1st time guests to complete a Connect Card to gather some contact information.  We promise not to visit without an invitation, we just want to be able to send them some information via email and the postal service.  We offer a free gift as a sign of our appreciation for their attendance:  the book "How Good is Good Enough?", available at Guest Central in the foyer.  We also send a letter to 2nd time guests explaining a little more about what is happening at oneChurch and how to get Involved.

Prayer Requests: 

There is a place on our Connect Cards for prayer requests.  We take this quite seriously at oneChurch.  Both leadership and church members commit to pray for these requests each week.  What is even better, is that we believe God honors and answers these prayers.  So when He answers your prayers, we would love to hear back from you about what God is doing in your life!

Starting Point: 

Starting point is a conversational environment for people who have questions about God, people who are just starting a new relationship with Jesus, or people who have been away from church for a while and are just coming back.  It is a 10-week curriculum that offers a great environment for exploring our faith and identifying the next step in our spiritual journey.

Commune:   

Commune is our New Members orientation class.  This one-time, 3-hour session discusses what we believe, how we do ministry and what our mission is as a church.  It also provides practical helps for assisting in discovering your personality style, spiritual gifts, and how these relate to yourInvolvement at oneChurch.

Our focus at oneChurch is not on numbers, nor on programs but on PEOPLE.  And as we seek to personally connect with our guests, our goal is for each guest to experience the love Jesus is talking about by providing different environments where guests feel comfortable in exploring their spiritual journey.

As we seek to connect with the people that God puts us in contact with, we must first understand and believe that it is God that is bringing us together for a specific reason...we will help people to connect with God, connect with other people, and help them move towards the next step in their spiritual journey...a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
