Our Story

In April 2006, Chris and his family moved to Clarksville to start a brand new church that would reach out to those disconnected from God. With the help of First Baptist Church of Clarksville and their missions strategy, he began working on all the things that go into starting a church.

In November 2006, there was an informational meeting. Twenty Five families showed up to hear about the vision for this new church. A few weeks later, this group started meeting in a local coffee house, talking through the vision and values of the church.

In the spring of 2007 as the group continued to grow, we continued to meet, plan, pray, and visit other churches throughout the spring. Trying to find a place to meet in North Clarksville was difficult, but finally doors opened for us to use the brand new movie theatre in town.

Our Launch day was September 9th, 2007.

As we move forward, we believe God has called us to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s our mission. We hope to connect or reconnect people with a God who loves them deeply, and then help them focus on loving and serving others. We take this cue from Jesus who said that the greatest commandment was to love God and the second greatest commandment was to love others.

Clarksville was named the 17th fastest growing city in the United States and Montgomery County is one of the fastest growing counties in the United States, with more than 5,000 families a year relocate to the Clarksville area. During the next 15 years, Clarksville is expected to have a 117% population increase! Yet every Sunday in Clarksville, 115,663 people stay at home and do not attend church—that is 86% of the population of Montgomery County! We want to reach those who don’t know God.
