Now, what does a growing relationship with Jesus Christ look like? What does a disciple look like? It's more than just knowledge, facts, or Bible doctrine. Spiritual Maturity and spiritual depth has far less to do with how much you know, than how well you love. Spiritual growth is all about pursuing relationships with God, God's people, and people outside the church. Being a disciple, is about having a growing relationship with Jesus is just that-a relationship.

An environment is external factors that influence internal growth. It is the conditions that surround people and affect the way they live. Why is this important? Because we can't force people into spiritual growth, but what we can do is create environments where spiritual maturity can happen.
where people are encouraged and equipped to pursue intimacy with God, community with insiders, and influence with outsiders...
How can you tell if a person has a growing relationship with Jesus? They have 3 healthy relationships with three groups of people.
Another way of putting it is to be spiritually mature, we have to have healthy relationships with God (Bible), our brothers in Christ (church), and our neighbor (culture). All must be present, or we will be out of balance as a church.
